New - now includes a high-quality solar filter for safe observation of sunspots, eclipses, and planetary transits. A great telescope for nighttime and solar observation. The Bresser Messier 6-inch Planetary Dobsonian is something very special. Despite its low price, it offers a wide range of features and quality that is sometimes sought in vain in much more expensive devices. With a 150mm aperture and a 1200mm focal length, this high-quality Bresser Newtonian optic makes observing the moon, planets, and planetary nebulae particularly possible. The craters and grooves of the moon, as well as the changing shadows cast by the terminator line, are interesting objects of observation. Saturn with its impressive rings, Jupiter with its cloud bands and the easily visible movement of its moons, the crescent shape of Venus, and the glowing red of Mars are good examples of what you'll observe with this telescope. Thanks to its long basic focal length, the high magnifications needed for this purpose can be easily achieved. No expensive special eyepieces are required. In short, this is a telescope primarily intended for detailed observation. Even so, bright deep-sky objects such as the Orion Nebula or the Messier 81 and 82 galaxies can also be observed. Astrophotography is no problem for this telescope either. This is another of its strengths: if you want to take photos, simply unscrew the altitude wheels from the tube and attach them to an EQ mount with an optional dovetail rail, and nothing else will stand in the way of astrophotography. The included eyepiece adapter has a common T2 thread (M42x0.75mm), to which almost all eyepieces can be attached...
